Kauaʻi Digital Village

Bank of Sally Shore is part of the Kauaʻi Digital Village — a network of local makers, creators, and technologists building something real on the North Shore.

What KDV Is

The Village is a loose collective of people who make things: shell artists, water practitioners, radio DJs, system builders, educators, and storytellers. We share infrastructure, knowledge, and the belief that the best technology serves the community it’s built in.

How We Connect

Bank of Sally Shore is the Village’s editorial arm — the quarterly journal that documents the work, the lore, and the quiet economy of handmade coastal things.

Other Village projects include:

  • Laulima Village WiFi — community connectivity
  • Tune Into Tomorrow — the Village radio station, live around the clock
  • My Computer Therapy — in-home computer help on the North Shore; MCT fixes
  • MCT Systems — infrastructure that still makes sense when the internet doesn’t; MCT builds it for clients
  • Robot Trainer — the lab: practical automation and XR training; automates and trains
  • Kalalau Guardians — trail stewardship, land restoration, and moʻolelo

There is also a walkable version. The Village keeps a VR world built over Anini Beach — the reef, the radio, and a theater you can sit in — and it opens straight from a headset’s browser, no install.
